Summerville SC Fallen Heroes

Sgt. Sameer A.M. Rateb, 22, of Summerville, S.C.died May 6, 2007 at Forward Operating Base Summerall in Bayji, Iraq, in a non-combat related incident. 

Age 22

He leaves behind a wife and step-son.

Army

Assigned to the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.. His death is under investigation. more..

Daniel Parker killed May 07, 2004 in Baghdad, Iraq after a bomb exploded near his military convoy as he was traveling to Baghdad International Airport.

 

Age 56

He's a former Charleston instructor at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy.  Dan Parker is survived by his wife and two daughters.   More about this fallen hero:
